Felt Yurt Tents (Yurt-Ger-Boz Üy)

Perhaps the most comfortable one of the nomadic lifestyle is the most meaningful. The Yurt, a lifestyle...

Yurt Tents are perhaps the most loved and meaningful product of the nomadic culture. Oghuz and Töles hordes call it Yurt, and in Kyrgyzstan the name "Boz Üy" is used, which means gray house. In Mongolia it is called "Ger". There are 2 main types of felt yurt tents that have survived to the present day. The Kyrgyz / Kazakh type is the type that we call the tent poles, which is bended from the connection point to the tent wall, the "Orda" in the middle is the standing type with completely spoke and the other is the type that we call Mongolian type, which is the non-bent bars type that reaches Orda directly from the tent walls. The Orda of this Mongolian type also stands on 2 wooden poles that extend to the ground and has a distinctive round design. In general, the difference is the ceiling height at the bottom of the wall and whether there is a column-shaped pole in the middle. The Kyrgyz / Kazakh model has a higher ceiling and no pole in the middle, while the Mongolian type has a lower ceiling height and 2 poles in the middle.

Although our cousins, who still use it in Central Asia, have generally made the yurt by beech tree to make it to be strong, today, depending on your preference, trees such as Chestnut or Fir can be preferred. Metal material in making nails etc. it is very long-lasting since it is not used. A duly built Yurt can easily serve you for up to 100 years. As Kağanlık Doğa Equipments, we created a long-lasting felt tent by using both the most authentic and the best materials by staying true to the original in our tents.

Living in a felt tent has many advantages in terms of human health. First of all, it never creates bad odor inside with its breathing structure. We who live in concrete houses know very well that when we wake up in the morning the room becomes stuffy and there is an unpleasant odor; This bad smell and stuffiness never happens in a felt tent. However, 100% wool felt continues to provide much better thermal insulation than your insulated concrete walls. Since the tent floor is soil and the floor is often covered with felt or carpet, static electricity does not accumulate in your body. While your fire or stove burning in the middle of your tent calms you down in spirit, the round structure of the tent provides the energy flow of people and things in the right way. For the spiritual flow of energy, there should be no corners in the space, in concrete structures, negative energies always find a place to hide in the corners, and that's exactly why tents are always round.

If you want a shelter on your land, if you are thinking of building a cottage on your plot on the mountain, or if you want to radically change your lifestyle, be sure to consider building a yurt instead of them. Because Yurt will take you to the past and provide an authentic environment; Besides, you will experience its comfort, health and pleasure. It will suit the Central Anatolian Steppes, the Black Sea and the Eastern Anatolian Mountains, and the Taurus Mountains as well as to the European and North American Steppes. In fact, maybe our mountains have been deprived of this beautiful ornament right now. It will decorate our mountains and appeal to your soul. Moreover, it is a more affordable option than all of its alternatives.
